Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 23, 2026 · Last updated August 23, 2026

This page explains how BestExperimentIdeas works in plain language. It is written for clarity, not as legal advice, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Questions? Email support@bestexperimentideas.com.

Premium project purchases

A premium project is a one-time purchase that unlocks digital content immediately. The platform does not currently define a fixed refund window — we have deliberately not invented one. Refunds are handled case by case by our support team and issued through Stripe against the original payment.

We will normally refund when:

  • You were charged twice for the same project, or charged for a project you already owned.
  • The purchased content is missing, unreadable or materially different from what the project page described.
  • The project was removed by moderation shortly after you bought it.
  • A technical fault on our side prevented access and we could not fix it.

We normally will not refund when:

  • You have read the full instructions and simply changed your mind.
  • Your build did not produce the result you hoped for — see the Science & Safety Disclaimer.
  • You bought the wrong project but have already used the unlocked content.

Where local consumer law gives you a stronger right to a refund, that law applies and overrides the guidance above.

How to request a refund

Email support@bestexperimentideas.com or open a request from the support page with the project name and the date of purchase. You can find both under My Purchases. There is no self-serve refund button; a person reviews each request.

What a refund does

  • The payment is reversed through Stripe to the original payment method. Timing to reach your bank is set by Stripe and your card issuer, not by us.
  • Your purchase record is kept and marked as refunded.
  • Access to the premium project is revoked.
  • The creator's earning for that sale is reversed.

Effect on creator earnings

When a sale is refunded, the creator earning attached to it is reversed. If that earning had not been paid out yet, it simply comes out of the pending balance. If it had already been paid out, the platform books a negative adjustment of the same amount, which is deducted from the creator's next payout. Full detail is in the Creator Terms and Payout Policy.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, Stripe's dispute process applies and the outcome is decided there. A successful dispute reverses the sale and the creator earning in the same way as a refund. Please contact us first — it is usually faster.

Scientist subscription

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not automatically refund part-used periods, but if you were charged after cancelling, or renewed by accident and have not used the period, contact support and we will sort it out.

Currency

Purchases and refunds are processed in US dollars. Any difference caused by exchange rates or card fees between the original charge and the refund is set by your card issuer.
