Accessibility Statement

Version 1.0 · Effective August 23, 2026 · Last updated August 23, 2026

This page explains how BestExperimentIdeas works in plain language. It is written for clarity, not as legal advice, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Questions? Email support@bestexperimentideas.com.

Our commitment

BestExperimentIdeas is for students, teachers and makers with a wide range of abilities and devices. We want the site to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at large text sizes and on a small phone. Accessibility is treated as part of building a feature, not a separate project.

What we currently do

  • Semantic HTML with landmarks and a single main heading per page.
  • Labels and accessible names on form fields, buttons and icon-only controls.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, menus and dialogs, with visible focus styles.
  • Colour and typography chosen for readable contrast, with a design token system so contrast is consistent.
  • Responsive layouts tested down to 393px wide with no horizontal scrolling.
  • Alternative text on images we control, and text alternatives for status information rather than colour alone.

What we do not claim

We have not completed a formal accessibility audit and we are not claiming conformance with WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.2, EN 301 549, Section 508 or any other standard. Some areas — in particular complex interactions such as the data workbench, charts, embedded video and the embedded payment form — are likely to have gaps. Content contributed by community members, including their images and videos, may lack alternative text or captions.

Third-party components

Some parts of the experience are rendered by third parties: the embedded Stripe payment form, Google sign-in and YouTube video embeds. Their accessibility is determined by those providers.

Report an accessibility problem

If something is hard or impossible to use, please tell us — this is the fastest way for it to get fixed. Email support@bestexperimentideas.com with “Accessibility” in the subject, or open a request from the support page.

Where you can, include:

  • The page address.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • Your browser, operating system and any assistive technology you use.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within a few working days and will tell you what we can fix and when. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will try to offer another way to complete the task.
