Content Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 23, 2026 · Last updated August 23, 2026

This page explains how BestExperimentIdeas works in plain language. It is written for clarity, not as legal advice, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Questions? Email support@bestexperimentideas.com.

Who owns what

You own your original content — your project write-ups, images, videos, datasets, posts, comments and reviews. Publishing here does not transfer ownership to BestExperimentIdeas or to anyone who builds or buys your project.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload. That includes photos you did not take, diagrams from a textbook or website, datasets belonging to someone else, and text generated from a source you cannot republish.

The licence we need

To run the platform we need a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, reformat, display and distribute your content on and in connection with BestExperimentIdeas — in the project page, previews, search results, recommendations, the community feed, and where you sell a premium project, to deliver it to buyers. The licence lasts while your content is on the platform and, for buyers who already paid, for the access they purchased.

Prohibited content

The list of prohibited content lives in the Community Guidelines. This policy covers how we act on it.

Reporting content

Every published project has a Report project control on the project page, and comments and community posts have a Report action in their menu. Use them for unsafe instructions, plagiarism, fake results, harassment or anything else that breaks the rules. Reports go to a moderation queue with the reason you selected.

If you cannot use the in-app report — for example the content is not visible to you — email support@bestexperimentideas.com with a link.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content here infringes your copyright, email support@bestexperimentideas.com with:

  • A link to the exact content on this site.
  • A description of the work you say it infringes, and where the original can be seen.
  • Your contact details.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We remove or restrict content we determine to be infringing and tell the author. If you believe your content was removed in error, reply to the notice we send and we will review it. Repeat infringement leads to account closure.

How moderation works

  • Projects declaring significant hazards are routed to human review before they can be published publicly.
  • Content is checked against the platform's science-and-engineering scope; off-topic submissions are blocked from publishing.
  • Reported content is reviewed by a moderator, who may leave it, edit-request it, unlist it or remove it.
  • Automated and AI-assisted checks help surface issues; removal decisions are made by people.

What happens when a rule is broken

  • First, minor: the content is removed or unlisted and we explain why.
  • Repeated: features may be limited — publishing, selling, commenting or messaging.
  • Serious or deliberate: immediate removal and account closure. This includes weapons, explosives, content endangering minors, fraud and payment abuse.
  • Premium projects removed for a rule breach may have sales paused and pending earnings withheld pending review.

If you think a decision was wrong, reply to the notification or open a support request and a person will look at it again.
